Whispering Hope's Day of Prayer - Aug 9th

Please come join Father Matthew VanSmoorenburg and Parishioners from St. Brendans as we join together in Prayer with our Sisters and Brothers from other Churches in Forsyth County in support of Whispering Hope's Day of Prayer Friday August 9th from 11:30am - 1:00pm at Cumming Women's Center, 133 Samaritan Drive Suite 306, Cumming GA 30040.

Please note that this is a drop-in event and prayer guides will be available. Please see invitation attached below.

Let's have a good showing of support from St. Brendan's Parishioners for the cause of LIFE through prayer and come see Whispering Hope's Women's Resource & Pregnancy Center and meet their dedicated employees that are on the front-line saving lives!

Whispering Hope Women's Resource & Pregnancy Center 2023 Statistics:

• 382 clients served

• 82 babies born

• 209 pregnancy tests

• 124 ultrasounds

• 176 STI tests

• 677 spiritual discussions

• 40 gospel presentations

• 6 professions of faith

• 48 Hope Program participants

• 3 moms and 2 babies as residents of Living Hope Maternity Residence Home

• 2,184.5 volunteer hours

• $61,231 worth of donated goods

Men’s Reflection - Aug 9th

Friday morning of reflection for men, starting with Mass at 6:45 AM then to the Fireside room for breakfast and the talk.

COR - Aug 17th, 24th, 31st - Fall

All men of the Parish are invited to join a Knights of Columbus led faith formation program, titled Cor. This formation and fraternal opportunity was made with you in mind.

Cor forms and strengthens Catholic men in their faith and virtue as missionary disciples by drawing them in a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, formaon, and fraternity.

Installation of Officers - Aug 11th 10:00 – 10:30am

After the 9:00am Mass

As a reminder, the council’s Installation of Officers is scheduled for this Sunday, August 11 th, after the 9:00 am mass. Our Worthy District Deputy, Chris Bell will be conducting the ceremony.

We will have a light lunch in the Fireside Room afterwards with Knights and families.

We ask that knights whose last names start from A to L provide appetizers and M-Z provide desserts.
